The brand's origin story began in 1997 in a garage in Hungary, founded by Sébastien (Gyula) Julius and Anikó Bakos. The name 'Julius' is a German version of the founder's Name, Gyula, and 'K9' refers to the canine designation, reflecting the brand's roots in police and service dog training.

Today, Julius-K9 is a global leader in the pet industry, particularly famous for its IDC (Innova Dog Comfort) Powerharness. Unlike many pet brands that outsource manufacturing to third parties, Julius-K9 maintains deep control over its supply chain, producing the majority of its items in its own facilities within Hungary and Romania. This European-based production ensures high quality and safety standards for the materials used.
