Hemmer Yellow Mustard

Hemmer is a traditionally Brazilian brand founded in 1915 by Heinrich Hemmer in Blumenau, Santa Catarina. Originally starting as a producer of sauerkraut, the company expanded its portfolio over more than a century to become one of Brazil's most recognized names in condiments, preserves, and sauces. Its yellow mustard, 'Tipo Americana', is a staple in the Brazilian market, known for its mild flavor and vibrant color.

In 2021, a significant shift in ownership occurred when the American multinational Kraft Heinz announced the acquisition of Hemmer. This move was finalized in 2022, aimed at expanding Kraft Heinz's presence in the Brazilian market by merging their global expertise with Hemmer's local heritage and distribution strength. Today, while the manufacturing remains primarily focused in Brazil to serve the South American market, the brand is part of the global portfolio managed by Kraft Heinz.
