Brauerei Königshof is a prominent regional brewery based in Krefeld, Germany. Established in its current form in 2003, the company rose from the remains of the historic Rhenania brewery after its brewing rights were sold to Krombacher. Local investors and former staff stepped in to save the site, ensuring that beer production remained in the Königshof district of Krefeld.
The brand is well-known for producing both a premium line, 'Original Königshofer,' and a value-oriented line branded simply as 'Brauerei Königshof.' Beyond its own labels, the brewery serves as a significant contract manufacturer and bottler for various other brands, including Gaffel Kölsch and several private labels for supermarket chains like Netto, making it a vital hub for German beverage production.
Today, Brauerei Königshof remains an independent entity, deeply rooted in its local community through sports sponsorships and regional distribution. It maintains modern production facilities in Krefeld-Fischeln, where it produces a variety of styles including Pils, Alt, Export, and Weizen.
