Melem Protective Cream

Melem is a legendary Croatian skincare brand originally formulated in 1977. Known for its versatile protective properties, it was developed by Ninko Nikšić in Zagreb and has since become a staple in Southeast European households for treating sensitive skin, irritation, and dryness.

Historically, the brand was produced and managed by the company Interchem. However, in 2004, the brand was acquired by Atlantic Grupa, one of the largest food and consumer goods companies in the Balkan region. Production remains based in Croatia, maintaining the original high-quality lanolin-based formula that has defined the brand for decades. The product line has successfully expanded into various formats, including lip balms, body lotions, and specialized shower gels, while retaining its iconic identity.
