Everlast is an iconic American brand that has been synonymous with boxing since the early 20th century. Founded in the Bronx, New York, in 1910 by Jacob Golomb, the company originally started as a swimwear manufacturer. Golomb, dissatisfied with the durability of swimsuits at the time, guaranteed his suits would last a full year, leading to the name 'Everlast.' The brand transitioned into boxing gear in 1917 when a young Jack Dempsey asked Golomb to create protective headgear that could withstand more than 15 rounds of intensive training.

Today, Everlast is a global leader in the design, manufacturing, and licensing of boxing, mixed martial arts (MMA), and fitness-related equipment and apparel. While the brand originated in the United States, its manufacturing is now global, with products produced in multiple countries including China, Vietnam, and India to meet international demand. The brand has evolved from a local sporting goods shop into a dominant force in the combat sports industry, worn by legends from Muhammad Ali to modern-day champions.

In 2007, Everlast was acquired by the British retail giant Frasers Group (formerly Sports Direct International). Under this ownership, Everlast has expanded its reach into lifestyle apparel and fitness technology, maintaining its headquarters in Manhattan while leveraging a massive global distribution network. It remains the preeminent choice for professional and amateur fighters worldwide.
