Johma Salad

Johma is the most well-known salad specialist in the Netherlands, famous for its chilled spreads and salads. The brand was founded in 1968 in Glanerbrug by Johan and Martin (whose names combine to form 'Johma'). Today, the company remains deeply rooted in Twente, with its primary production facility located in Losser, where it continues to manufacture its wide range of artisanal-style spreads like salmon, chicken, and egg salads.

Over the decades, Johma's ownership has transitioned through several private equity firms and food groups. As of 2024 and looking toward the future, Johma is part of the Signature Foods group. Signature Foods is a major European player in the convenience food sector, specifically focused on the 'chilled' category. The brand serves as a market leader in the Benelux region, emphasizing local production and traditional Dutch recipes.
