Schmucker Rosé Bock is a specialized bock beer produced by the Privat-Brauerei Schmucker. Founded in 1780 by Nikolaus Schönberger in the Odenwald region of Germany, the brewery has a long-standing tradition of crafting regional beer specialties. The Rosé Bock itself is noted for its high alcohol content (8.0% ABV) and its distinctive reddish color, achieved through specific malt selections.
Since 2006, Privat-Brauerei Schmucker has been a part of the Brau Holding International, which later transitioned into the Paulaner Brauerei Gruppe. This group is a joint venture between the Schörghuber Corporate Group and Heineken. Despite its acquisition by a larger group, Schmucker maintains its regional identity and continues to brew its beer according to the German Purity Law in Mossautal, Germany.
