Elocom is a well-known brand of topical corticosteroid medications containing mometasone furoate, used to treat inflammatory skin conditions like psoriasis or dermatitis. It was originally developed by Schering-Plough, a major American pharmaceutical company founded in the late 19th century. Through a series of high-level mergers, the brand's ownership moved to Merck & Co. (known as MSD outside the US and Canada) when it acquired Schering-Plough in 2009.

In 2021, Organon & Co. was spun off from Merck/MSD as an independent, publicly traded pharmaceutical company focused on women's health and established legacy brands, which included the Elocom product line. Organon currently operates as the ultimate owner, managing global distribution. In Spain, the product is distributed via Organon Salud, S.L. Manufacturing for European markets is primarily conducted at specialized pharmaceutical facilities in Belgium, though the supply chain may involve several global sites depending on the specific formulation.
