Göteborgs Kex Saltiner

Göteborgs Kex is a historic Swedish brand founded in 1888 in Kungälv. For over a century, it was the leading biscuit manufacturer in the Nordic region. Its Saltiner crackers are a staple in Swedish households, known for their light, crispy texture and salt topping.

In recent years, the brand underwent a significant transition. After being under Norwegian ownership via the Orkla Group for several decades, production was moved from the original factory in Kungälv, Sweden, to a modern facility in Adaži, Latvia. This move, completed around 2022-2023, was part of a consolidation effort to modernize production for the entire Orkla Confectionery & Snacks division. Although the brand maintains its Swedish heritage and product development, the physical manufacturing now primarily takes place in the Baltic region.
