Pokémon 3: The Movie, also known as Spell of the Unown: Entei, is a 2000 Japanese animated film directed by Kunihiko Yuyama. It is the third theatrical release in the Pokémon media franchise, which was originally created in Japan by Satoshi Tajiri and developed by Game Freak and Nintendo. The movie explores the themes of imagination and family through the legend of the Pokémon Entei.
The global Pokémon brand is managed by The Pokémon Company, a joint venture between three Japanese entities: Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures. While the creative IP and brand originate from Japan, the physical manufacturing of DVD units occurs in multiple countries depending on the distribution region, including the United States, Mexico, and various European nations. In North America, home video distribution for Pokémon films has historically been handled by major studios such as Warner Bros. and Viz Media.
