Pioneer Foodservice (often associated with Pioneiro Alimentos in various regions) is a historic British brand that began as a small family butchery in Carlisle in 1878. Over nearly 150 years, it has transformed into a leading wholesaler and meat processor, maintaining a reputation for high-quality butchery including beef, pork, and lamb.

The company operates primarily out of its headquarters in Cumbria, England, where it manages its own butchery and distribution network. While for most of its history it was an independent family-run operation led by the Jenkins family, the brand reached a significant milestone in 2019 when it was acquired by the multinational food distribution giant Sysco. This acquisition integrated Pioneer's local expertise and regional heritage into one of the world's largest foodservice supply chains, allowing the brand to expand its reach while maintaining its localized production standards in the UK.
