Method is a well-known brand specializing in eco-friendly household cleaners, personal care, and laundry products. Founded in 2000 in San Francisco by Adam Lowry and Eric Ryan, the brand became a pioneer in 'green' cleaning by combining stylish packaging design with plant-based, biodegradable ingredients. The product shown—the Bathroom Surface Cleaner in Eucalyptus Mint—is part of their core range designed to provide an effective, non-toxic alternative to traditional bleach-based cleaners.
Over the years, Method's ownership has evolved through major corporate acquisitions. In 2012, Method merged with the Belgian eco-cleaner company Ecover. Following this, in 2017, the combined Method-Ecover company was acquired by S. C. Johnson & Son, a global leader in household consumer goods. Today, Method remains a prominent subsidiary under S. C. Johnson’s 'Lifestyle Brands' division.
While the brand originated in the United States, its manufacturing footprint is international. Many North American products are produced at 'South Side Soapbox,' Method's sustainable factory in Chicago, while products for the European market are often manufactured at Ecover’s ecological factory in Malle, Belgium, or local regional hubs.
