This image features an IVECO bus, specifically a model from the Crossway range, which is widely used for intercity and school transport in Europe. IVECO (Industrial Vehicles Corporation) was founded in Torino, Italy, in 1975 through the merger of five European brands: Fiat Veicoli Industriali, OM, Lancia Veicoli Speciali, Unic, and Magirus-Deutz. Historically, the brand was a core part of the Fiat Group and later CNH Industrial.
Currently, the brand is owned by Iveco Group N.V., a company that became independent following a spin-off from CNH Industrial in early 2022. While the brand has deep Italian roots and its headquarters remain in Turin, the majority of the bus production for the European market, including the Crossway shown, takes place at the historic Karosa plant in Vysoké Mýto, Czech Republic. The Iveco Group is a global leader in the production of commercial vehicles, powertrains, and specialty vehicles.
