Charter Savings Bank is a specialized UK-based retail bank that provides a range of savings products, including notice accounts, fixed-rate bonds, and ISAs. Launched in March 2015, it operates as a digital-first challenger bank without physical branches, focusing on providing competitive interest rates and straightforward financial products to the British market.
The bank was established by Charter Court Financial Services (CCFS), which was originally backed by the private equity firm Elliott Management. In 2019, Charter Court Financial Services merged with OneSavings Bank (OSB), creating a significant specialist lending and savings group in the UK. Today, Charter Savings Bank remains a key brand under the OSB Group PLC umbrella, localized entirely within the United Kingdom for its operations and customer base.
