Aunt Betty's is a celebrated brand known for its traditional-style steamed puddings and desserts, rooted in a heritage of home-style New Zealand baking. The brand was inspired by the real 'Aunt Betty' (Elizabeth Wilson), whose recipes and spirit of hospitality became the foundation for the product line launched in the late 1990s.
The manufacturing remains primarily in New Zealand, where the brand maintains its reputation for quality and convenience in the pantry dessert category. Aunt Betty's has evolved from a local favorite to a significant regional brand across Oceania, particularly popular in Australia and New Zealand for its 'heat and eat' pudding range.
Originally part of the Hansells Food Group, the brand changed ownership in 2018. Walter & Wild, a prominent New Zealand-based consumer goods company, acquired several brands including Aunt Betty's. Walter & Wild is headed by some of the most experienced food industry figures in the region and continues to manage the brand's production and distribution globally from its headquarters in Auckland.
