While the brand was founded and is headquartered in Australia, the product is manufactured in Thailand. This is standard for high-quality tuna brands due to Thailand's proximity to major fishing grounds and its specialized large-scale processing facilities. Sirena emphasizes sustainability, utilizing pole and line or FAD-free fishing methods.

The global rights to the brand were acquired by the Thai Union Group in the mid-1990s as part of their international expansion. However, the Australian operations remain highly localized, with the brand continuing to be managed and marketed as a premium domestic label while benefitting from the global supply chain of its parent company.
