LD is a prominent brand of Swedish snus, originally introduced by Gallaher Group in the early 2000s. It was created to provide a high-quality tobacco experience at a more accessible price point compared to premium legacy brands. The production is deeply rooted in Swedish tradition, utilizing classic pasteurization methods.

Following the acquisition of Gallaher Group by Japan Tobacco International (JTI) in 2007, the brand became part of a global tobacco portfolio. Today, LD is manufactured in Vårgårda, Sweden, by Nordic Snus AB, a dedicated subsidiary of JTI. This facility ensures that the product maintains its authentic Swedish profile while benefiting from the global distribution and quality control standards of its Japanese parent company.
