Hamilton watch

Hamilton is a brand with a unique dual heritage, blending American spirit with Swiss precision. Originally founded in 1892 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the Hamilton Watch Company became a cornerstone of American watchmaking, famously providing accurate timepieces for the early railroads and later the U.S. military during both World Wars.

In 1974, the brand was acquired by the SSIH (later to become the Swatch Group), and production was eventually moved entirely to Switzerland. Today, all Hamilton watches carry the 'Swiss Made' label, ensuring high-quality mechanical and quartz movements. The brand is well-known for its deep connection to Hollywood, with its watches appearing in over 500 major films.
