Founded in 1982 by two former employees of a major soft drinks company, Naresh Nagrecha and Vishnoo Sharma, the brand was born out of a desire to bring the authentic taste of tropical fruits like Mango, Passion Fruit, and Guava to the UK market. In 2008, the brand reached a significant milestone when it was acquired by A.G. Barr, the prominent Scottish soft drinks manufacturer famous for Irn-Bru. Under A.G. Barr's ownership, Rubicon has diversified its product line to include carbonated versions (Rubicon Sparkling), low-sugar variants (Rubicon Street Drinks), and even frozen treats, maintaining its position as a market leader in exotic flavors.
