Ballenoil is a prominent Spanish brand specializing in automated, low-cost service stations. Founded in 2010 by the Progeral group, which has roots in the car wash industry dating back to 1962, the brand pioneered the "low-cost" fuel model in Spain. It focuses on providing a fast, high-quality, and affordable fueling experience through a network of automated stations spread across several Spanish provinces.

In recent years, Ballenoil has expanded its services beyond traditional fuel to include sustainable mobility solutions. Through strategic partnerships with energy giants like Iberdrola, the brand has integrated super-fast electric vehicle charging facilities into its network. This shift aligns with broader industry trends toward the electrification of transport and renewable energy usage.

In late 2023, the Spanish energy multinational Cepsa reached an agreement to acquire Ballenoil. This acquisition, which was cleared by competition authorities in 2024, positions Ballenoil as a key subsidiary within Cepsa's strategy to maintain a strong presence in the discount fuel segment while transitioning to greener energy alternatives. Today, while it operates under the ultimate ownership of Cepsa, Ballenoil maintains its distinct branding and automated business model across Spain.
