Original Wagner Steinofen Pizza Diavolo

Original Wagner is a prominent German frozen food brand with a history dating back to 1968, when Ernst Wagner opened a small bakery in Nonnweiler. The brand became a pioneer in the industry by introducing the first industrial stone oven for frozen pizzas in 1985, which remains a core part of its identity and production process today.

Historically part of the Nestlé family since a full acquisition in 2013, the brand's ownership underwent a significant strategic shift in 2023. Nestlé entered into a joint venture with the private equity firm PAI Partners to form the European Pizza Group. This entity now oversees the frozen pizza business across Europe, including brands like Wagner, Buitoni, and Garden Gourmet. Most production remains centralized at the high-tech facility in Nonnweiler, Saarland, which is one of the largest pizza manufacturing plants in Europe.
