Shark vacuum

Shark vacuums are part of the SharkNinja family, a company that has evolved from a small family-run business into a global leader in home appliances. The brand's origins trace back to Euro-Pro Operating LLC, founded in 1994 by Mark Rosenzweig in Montreal, Canada. Seeking to expand, the company moved its headquarters to Needham, Massachusetts, in 2003 and officially launched the Shark brand in 2007 with a focus on 'no-loss-of-suction' technology. This innovation-driven approach allowed Shark to rapidly gain market share, eventually rebranding the entire company as SharkNinja in 2015.

While the engineering, design, and product testing for Shark vacuums are centered at their headquarters in the United States, the manufacturing is primarily outsourced to factories in China and other parts of Asia to maintain competitive pricing. In recent years, the company's ownership has undergone significant transitions. After being acquired by JS Global Lifestyle in 2017, SharkNinja was spun off into an independent, publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange in July 2023. Today, it remains a major American-based public entity with a global footprint, managed from its Massachusetts hub.
