OTA Solgryn is a legendary Danish cereal brand, specifically known for its toasted rolled oats. The brand's history dates back to 1898 when it was founded in Nakskov, Denmark, by the Ota company. It quickly became a staple of the Danish breakfast table, recognized by its iconic yellow sun logo on a red and white background.

While the brand was a cornerstone of Danish domestic production for over a century, its manufacturing and ownership transitioned during the industrial shifts of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. In 2014, the production of OTA Solgryn was moved to Denmark-based facilities under the stewardship of Crispy Food, ensuring that despite corporate ownership changes, the local heritage and manufacturing quality of the oats remained tied to their Nordic roots.

The brand passed through several owners, including the Quaker Oats Company (and subsequently PepsiCo), before being acquired by the Finnish food group Raisio in 2019. Today, Raisio manages the brand as part of its healthy, plant-based food portfolio, maintaining OTA Solgryn as one of the most trusted and recognizable food brands in Scandinavia.
