The brand Mamee originated in Malacca, Malaysia, in the early 1970s. It was founded by Datuk Pang Chin Hin, who initially started the Pacific Food Products company. The Mamee Chef sub-brand was specifically developed in collaboration with culinary experts to elevate the instant noodle experience. The product is primarily manufactured in Malaysia by Mamee-Double Decker, which has grown into a global snack and noodle powerhouse, exporting to over 100 countries while remaining under the ownership of the Pang family.
