Mesa/Boogie, also known as Mesa Engineering, is a legendary American manufacturer of high-end guitar and bass amplifiers. Founded in 1969 by Randall Smith in Petaluma, California, the brand began as a small amplifier repair shop before gaining worldwide fame for being the first to produce high-gain 'boutique' amplifiers, starting with the iconic Mark series.

All Mesa/Boogie products are notably hand-built in their facility in Petaluma, California, maintaining a reputation for premium craftsmanship and 'Made in USA' quality. The brand has been a staple for professional musicians across genres, from jazz fusion to heavy metal.

In January 2021, Mesa/Boogie was acquired by Gibson Brands, Inc. This partnership aimed to preserve Mesa's legacy of excellence while leveraging Gibson's global distribution network. Despite the acquisition, operations and manufacturing remain headquartered at the original 'Tone Farm' in California.
