Neuhaus is a world-renowned luxury chocolatier founded in 1857 by Jean Neuhaus, a Swiss immigrant who opened an apothecary in Brussels. In a stroke of genius, he began covering medicines in chocolate to make them more palatable. By 1912, his grandson, Jean Neuhaus Jr., evolved this concept into the first 'praline'—a chocolate shell filled with a soft center.

Today, Neuhaus remains a symbol of Belgian expertise, still manufacturing all its chocolates in its atelier in Vlezenbeek, near Brussels. The brand uses 100% natural ingredients and sustainably sourced cocoa. Since 1978, the company has been owned by the Belgian investment holding company Compagnie du Bois Sauvage. As of 2026, it continues to operate as a premier high-end chocolatier with a significant presence in international travel hubs and luxury boutiques worldwide.
