The Epson Expression Home XP-2100 is a compact and versatile all-in-one inkjet printer designed for home use. The Epson brand originated in Japan, with its roots tracing back to the Daiwa Kogyo Ltd. company founded in 1942, which eventually became Seiko Epson Corporation. The brand gained worldwide fame after developing the world's first electronic printer, the EP-101, in 1968.

Today, the brand remains under the ultimate ownership of the Seiko Epson Corporation, headquartered in Suwa, Nagano, Japan. While the brand heritage is Japanese, manufacturing for the XP series and similar consumer hardware is distributed globally. Most of Epson's printer production occurs in the Philippines and Indonesia at large-scale manufacturing hubs, though specialized components and high-end units may still be linked to Japanese facilities.
