LEGO was founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Christiansen in Billund, Denmark. The name is derived from the Danish words 'Leg Godt', meaning 'Play Well'. The LEGO Group remains a privately held company owned by the Kirk Kristiansen family. While it originated as a wooden toy manufacturer, it pioneered the iconic interlocking plastic brick in the mid-20th century.
Today, LEGO is a global brand with manufacturing facilities across several continents to serve regional markets. Primary production occurs in Denmark, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Mexico, and China. The Botanical Collection, which includes the Flower Bouquet 10280, is part of the LEGO Icons line designed specifically for adults, featuring plant-based plastic elements made from sustainably sourced sugarcane.
