The Genuine Curacao Liqueur is a premium spirit produced by Senior & Co. at the historic Landhuis Chobolobo in Curaçao. The brand's history dates back to 1896 when Edgar Senior and Haim Mendes Chumaceiro began distilling the peel of the Laraha orange, a bitter fruit native to the island. Unlike many imitation Curacao liqueurs that use synthetic flavors, Senior & Co. maintains a traditional copper kettle distillation process using the sun-dried peels of the Laraha.

Today, the brand remains a symbol of Curaçao's heritage. Landhuis Chobolobo serves as both a functional distillery and a major tourist attraction where the liqueur is bottled and packaged. The company is family-owned and operated within Curaçao, maintaining its status as the original producer of the world-famous blue (and multi-colored) liqueur.
