De Traay Honey

De Traay is a prominent Dutch brand specializing in organic and high-quality honey products. Founded in 1977 in Lelystad, the Netherlands, by beekeeper Wouter Vuijk, the company focuses on sustainable beekeeping and fair trade practices. While the brand is rooted in Dutch beekeeping traditions, it sources various types of honey, such as sunflower or Manuka honey, from specialist regions worldwide to maintain its extensive product range.

The brand is currently owned by the French company Compagnie de Biodiversité (also known as Léa Nature), which acquired De Traay to strengthen its position in the European organic food market. Despite the international ownership, production and quality control remain centered at the company's historical facility in Lelystad, Netherlands.
