ProViva Blueberry fruit drink

ProViva is a prominent Swedish brand of probiotic fruit drinks known for its unique combination of fruit juice and the patented lactic acid bacterium Lactobacillus plantarum 299v. The brand was initially developed in the late 1980s and early 1990s through a collaboration between Skånemejerier and researchers at Lund University, with the first commercial product launching in 1994.

The drink is manufactured in Sweden, specifically at production facilities in Lunnarp, Scania. In 2010, the French multinational food-products corporation Danone acquired a majority stake (51%) in the ProViva brand from Skånemejerier to expand its probiotic portfolio. Skånemejerier continues to produce the liquid base, while the brand is owned and managed by Danone via its legal entity ProViva AB.
