Onken Quark

Onken is a well-known dairy brand with a history rooted in Germany, originally founded by Hermann Onken in 1940. The brand became famous for its large pots of yogurt and quark, positioning itself as a staple in European households for high-quality fermented dairy products.

In 2011, the brand was acquired by the Swiss dairy group Emmi. Today, although the brand has a strong presence in international markets like the United Kingdom and Germany, it remains under Swiss ownership. Manufacturing primarily takes place in Germany to serve the European market, maintaining the traditional recipes that made the brand a household name. Emmi continues to manage Onken as part of its diverse portfolio of premium dairy brands.
