Beryozka (translated as Little Birch Tree) is a brand deeply rooted in the Soviet-era dairy tradition, specifically known for its classic sweetened condensed milk. The brand name and its distinctive blue-and-white geometric label pattern are iconic cultural symbols in Eastern Europe, representing a high-standard recipe originally developed in the USSR.
Today, the brand is produced by various independent dairy plants across the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), primarily in Belarus and Russia. Rogachev and Glubokoye dairy plants in Belarus are among the most famous producers using the traditional GOST standards that shoppers associate with the Beriozka name. Consequently, ownership is fragmented among state-owned enterprises or private regional dairy cooperatives rather than a single global corporation. It remains a staple ingredient in Slavic confectionery and a nostalgic favorite for consumers worldwide.
