Marshall is a legendary British brand, famous for its iconic music amplifiers founded in 1962 by Jim Marshall. While the brand is deeply rooted in the UK's rock and roll history, its expansion into consumer electronics like headphones and portable speakers was initially driven by a long-term licensing partnership with the Swedish company Zound Industries.

In 2023, a major shift occurred when Zound Industries officially acquired Marshall Amplification to form the Marshall Group. This merger brought the heritage amp business and the modern headphone business under one unified ownership based in Stockholm, Sweden. Despite the British design heritage and Swedish ownership, mass production of consumer electronics, including the Minor III earbuds shown, is primarily carried out in China.
