AVM FRITZ!Box

Fritz!Box is a widely recognized line of networking hardware manufactured by the German company AVM GmbH. Founded in 1986 by Johannes Nill, Ulrich Müller-Hoppe, and Peter Faxel, AVM introduced the Fritz! brand in 1995 to represent its consumer-focused communication products. The Fritz!Box series is famous for integrating multiple functions—such as a DSL or Fiber modem, a wireless router, a PBX telephone system, and smart home control—into a single user-friendly device.

Unlike many electronic brands that outsource production to Asia, AVM maintains a significant portion of its manufacturing within Germany and Europe. This localized approach allows the company to maintain high quality standards and rapid software deployment cycles. The proprietary operating system, FRITZ!OS, is frequently updated to provide new security features and performance enhancements.
