Sadia is one of Brazil's most iconic and valuable food brands, widely recognized for its mascot, Lek Trek. The brand was established in 1944 in Concórdia, Santa Catarina, focusing initially on wheat and pork products. Over the decades, it expanded into a massive range of frozen and processed foods, becoming a staple in Brazilian households.

In 2009, following a financial crisis and subsequent merger negotiations, Sadia merged with its main competitor, Perdigão, to form BRF (Brasil Foods). As of 2024 and beyond, the brand is owned by BRF S.A., which is one of the largest food companies in the world. The manufacturing of these chicken burgers is primarily carried out in BRF's extensive industrial parks across Brazil, utilizing local poultry production chains. In 2023, the Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC) and Marfrig Global Foods became major shareholders in BRF, though it remains a Brazilian-headquartered multinational.
