Oreo Wafer Rolls are a modern extension of the classic Oreo brand, which was originally introduced by the National Biscuit Company (Nabisco) in New York City in 1912. Unlike the traditional sandwich cookie, these wafer rolls are designed as thin, crispy tubes filled with flavoured cream, catering to different snacking preferences globally.
Today, the brand is owned by Mondelez International, which took over the snack division following the spin-off from Kraft Foods in 2012. While Oreo cookies are manufactured in numerous facilities worldwide, the Wafer Roll variant is particularly popular in Asian and Middle Eastern markets, with primary production hubs located in countries like Indonesia and Vietnam for international distribution.
