The country of origin for beef varies significantly depending on the point of purchase, as it is produced by local farmers in almost every country. Because 'Rundvlees' is a generic term for the protein itself rather than a trademarked brand, there is no single ultimate owner. Instead, the global market is led by major multinational meat processing corporations such as JBS S.A., Tyson Foods, and Marfrig. These companies manage the supply chain from grazing and slaughter to distribution, ensuring that beef reaches consumers via supermarkets and butchers under various private labels or regional distributor names.
