Originally founded in Germany in 1883 by Bernhard Blomberg, the company began as a metallurgical business before transitioning into the manufacture of high-quality washing machines and eventual domestic appliances. In 2002, the brand was acquired by Arçelik A.Ş., one of the largest appliance manufacturers in the world. Following this acquisition, the production and strategic direction were integrated into the Koç Group's global ecosystem. Today, Blomberg products are primarily manufactured in Arçelik’s state-of-the-art facilities in Turkey, though the brand maintains its design philosophy centered on European standards and innovative technology.

Under the ownership of the Koç Group, Blomberg has expanded its reach into the North American and global markets, positioning itself as a premium, eco-friendly brand. The ultimate ownership lies with the Istanbul-based Koç Holding, which manages a vast portfolio of consumer goods brands and ensures the brand's continued focus on sustainability and modern design.
