Château La Rode is an authentic Bordeaux wine produced in the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation in southwestern France. As indicated by the 'Vigneron Récoltant' label on the bottle, the wine is estate-bottled by the Faux family, who carry out the entire process from vine cultivation to bottling on their own property.
The vineyard has a long history under the management of the Faux family, specifically represented by Catherine and Pierre Faux. They focus on traditional winemaking techniques primarily using Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes, which are characteristic of the right bank of Bordeaux. The property is deeply rooted in local French agricultural tradition and remains an independent family-run estate rather than being owned by a large multinational conglomerate.
