JDE Peet's Coffee

JDE Peet's is a powerhouse in the global coffee and tea industry, born from the 2015 merger of the coffee division of Mondelez International and D.E Master Blenders 1753. The company boasts a heritage that spans over 265 years, tracing its roots back to Egbert Douwes in the Netherlands and Alfred Peet in the United States. Today, it manages a vast portfolio of iconic brands including Peet's Coffee, Jacobs, L’OR, Douwe Egberts, Tassimo, and Senseo.

While originally formed as a joint venture, the company became a publicly traded entity in Amsterdam. In late 2024 and throughout 2025, the ownership structure underwent a definitive shift when Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) reached an agreement to acquire shares from minority investors to take full control. This transition positions JDE Peet's as a crucial component of a broader North American and European beverage alliance, ensuring its distribution networks and roasting facilities—located primarily in Europe and the Americas—remain at the forefront of the consumer market.
