The brand is famously recognized by the portrait of Captain Clemente Ciccarelli on its packaging.

Today, the product is still primarily manufactured in Italy at the Farmaceutici Dottor Ciccarelli facility in Milan. The brand remains under the ultimate ownership of Farmaceutici Dottor Ciccarelli S.p.A., a family-owned Italian chemical and pharmaceutical company that continues to manage the heritage brand and export it globally.
