Olay, originally known as Oil of Olay, is one of the most recognized skincare brands globally. It was founded in 1952 by Graham Wulff, a South African chemist who created the signature Oil of Olay Beauty Fluid to help hydrate his wife’s skin. The brand's unique pink fluid and distinctive scent helped it grow rapidly through the 1960s and 1970s as a household name for anti-aging and hydration.

In 1985, the brand was acquired by Procter & Gamble (P&G). Since the acquisition, P&G has expanded the line significantly, introducing advanced scientific formulations such as the Regenerist and Luminous series. Manufacturing is distributed globally across several key facilities in the United States, Thailand, China, and various European locations to serve local markets.

Today, Olay remains a flagship brand in P&G’s personal care portfolio.
