Windhoek Draught is a premium lager produced by Namibia Breweries Limited. The brand is deeply rooted in the brewing traditions of Namibia, formerly a German colony, and proudly maintains the Reinheitsgebot (German Purity Law of 1516), which dictates that beer may only be brewed using malted barley, hops, and water.

Originally established in Windhoek, Namibia, the brand has grown to become an iconic African beer known for its smooth taste and natural brewing process. While its heart remains in Namibia, the significant demand in neighbouring regions has led to production arrangements in South Africa as well.

In 2023, the ownership landscape shifted significantly when the global brewing giant Heineken N.V. completed a major acquisition of Namibia Breweries and Distell Group Holdings, forming a new regional entity. This move consolidated Windhoek under Heineken's international portfolio, expanding its reach across the African continent and beyond.
