Bernard Světlý ležák is a premium Czech lager produced by the Family Brewery Bernard located in Humpolec. The brewery is renowned for its traditional production methods, including non-pasteurization, which gives the beer its distinctive full-bodied flavor and freshness. The packaging features the 'České pivo' (Czech Beer) Protected Geographical Indication, ensuring that it meets strict local brewing standards and uses high-quality regional ingredients like Moravian malt and Saaz hops.

The brand was revitalized in 1991 when Stanislav Bernard, Rudolf Šmejkal, and Josef Vávra purchased the bankrupt brewery. Since then, it has grown into a prestigious brand known for its iconic swing-top bottles and unique marketing. While the brewery remains family-managed and maintains its independent spirit, a significant stake was acquired by the Belgian brewery Duvel Moortgat in 2001, providing the brand with international stability while keeping production firmly rooted in its original Czech location.
