Aldi's cola offerings are primarily sold under private labels that vary by region, such as River, Freeway, or Summit. Unlike global brands like Coca-Cola, Aldi's cola is produced through a network of contract manufacturers. Each regional Aldi division (Aldi Nord or Aldi Süd) sources its beverages from local or regional bottling partners to optimize supply chain efficiency and maintain low costs. In Europe, for example, many of their soft drinks are produced by major private-label beverage manufacturers in Germany or the United Kingdom.
As a private-label product, the brand is owned directly by Aldi. The company itself is split into two independent legal entities: Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd. Both companies originated in Germany from a small grocery store opened by the Albrecht family. Over decades, they have expanded globally, maintaining a business model based on high-quality house brands that compete directly with national brand names at a lower price point. Ownership remains private within the Albrecht family trusts.
