Karvan Cévitam is a classic Dutch brand founded in 1948 by the company Rinneman in Wageningen, Netherlands. It has become a household name in the Dutch market, known for its concentrated fruit syrups that are mixed with water. Traditionally packaged in iconic metal canisters, the product emphasized high fruit content and vitamin fortification.
Over the decades, the brand underwent various ownership changes. It was part of the CSM (Centrale Suiker Maatschappij) portfolio before being acquired by H.J. Heinz. Following the massive merger in 2015, the brand is currently under the ultimate ownership of The Kraft Heinz Company, headquartered in the United States. Despite its American corporate parentage, Karvan Cévitam maintains its strong Dutch identity and continues to be primarily produced and distributed within the Netherlands.
