Robomow is a pioneer in the residential robotic lawn mower market, having introduced one of the first consumer-ready automated mowers in the 1990s. The brand was established in Israel by entrepreneurs Udi Peless and Shai Abramson under the company name Friendly Robotics. Known for its heavy-duty blades and edge-cutting capabilities, the brand quickly became a leading name in European and North American smart gardening.

In 2017, the brand underwent a significant transition when it was acquired by MTD Products, an American manufacturer of outdoor power equipment. Following this, in late 2021, Stanley Black & Decker completed a full acquisition of MTD Products. Today, Robomow operates as a specialized brand within the Stanley Black & Decker portfolio, benefiting from global distribution networks and advanced R&D resources while maintaining its technical roots in Israel.
