Lipton Ice Tea Green Tea

Lipton is one of the world's most iconic beverage brands, with a history dating back to the late 19th century when Sir Thomas Lipton established the brand in Glasgow, Scotland. Known for its wide range of tea products, Lipton's ready-to-drink iced tea line, which includes the popular Green Tea variety shown, is produced through a strategic partnership.

Today, Lipton is a joint venture brand. The ready-to-drink (bottled and canned) iced tea products are managed by the Pepsi Lipton International partnership, a joint venture between Unilever and PepsiCo. While Unilever originally founded and owned the brand entirely, the manufacturing and distribution of the liquid beverage products are heavily handled by PepsiCo’s global infrastructure. Production takes place across various countries to serve local European and global markets, often tailored to regional taste preferences. In 2022, Unilever sold its tea division (Ekaterra), but retained its interest in the Pepsi Lipton ready-to-drink joint ventures, maintaining its status as a co-ultimate owner of the bottled products.
