Texels Skuumkoppe is a popular wheat beer originating from the island of Texel in the Netherlands. It was first brewed by the Texelse Bierbrouwerij, which was established in 1999 on the island. The beer is named after the white foam heads that crest the waves of the North Sea.
In 2020, the brand underwent a significant ownership change when the Texelse Bierbrouwerij was acquired by Heineken N.V., one of the world's largest brewing companies. Despite the acquisition, the production remains deeply rooted in Dutch soil, primarily brewed on Texel to maintain its signature craft quality and island heritage. Today, it stands as a leading specialty beer within Heineken's diverse portfolio.
